First Presbyterian, Wewahitchka

The First Presbyterian Church of Wewahitchka was initially St. John’s Episcopal. Constructed around 1895, it was consecrated by the Right Reverend Edwin G. Weed on November 26, 1903.

Hurricane Michael inflicted damage, with powerful winds shifting the church from its foundation. The community is now engaged in efforts to rebuild the church.

The original name is inscribed in the sidewalk in front of the church.
